Sunderland WFC are the reigning National Premier League champions having won the competition for the first time in 2010-11 and retained the title the following season.

The Lady Black Cats also captured the Premier League Cup in 2011-12 to complete a domestic double and cement their place as one of the country's most successful women's sides.
