The latest gossip from Samson the Cat.

This month, the Black Cats had an excellent win against Newcastle with goals from Stephane Sessegnon, Adam Johnson and David Vaughan! Did you watch the match?

Simon Mignolet made some great saves too! New head coach Paolo Di Canio’s goal celebrations were great! Delilah and I have been practising our moves too.

It will be a game we will never forget, three well deserved points for the Black Cats. Then another three points when we played Everton on Saturday with a goal from Sessegnon. I can’t wait to watch the game against Aston Villa!

Did the Easter Bunny bring you some chocolate eggs? He left a yummy football egg for me and a cute chocolate rabbit for Delilah. What did you get up to over the holidays? We went out and played footie in the park, a great way to keep active and work off those Easter eggs!

It was great to meet so many of you in McDonalds and Ocean Beach over the holidays; can you spot your picture in our online gallery? You all drew us some great pictures to enter into the North East Live competition. Have you entered yet?

If not, check out the competition section in this email. Your artwork could be decorating the Stadium of Light when some of the hottest pop acts come to play at North East Live. The winner will also get four VIP tickets so they can come and see their drawing on display plus watch JLS, The Wanted, Lawson, Union J and lots more perform live. Delilah is looking forward to seeing Little Mix but I love Rita Ora. Who is your favourite?

Did you know there is a Sunderland AFC women’s team? We love to watch them play and they are doing really well in the league. You can catch us at their last game of the season against Leeds United on Sunday May 26 at the Hetton Centre. We’ll be there to cheer the girls on. Ha’way the lasses!

Don’t forget to keep sending us your pictures and stories and they might be in the next Junior Black Cats Magazine! Email them to juniorblackcats@safc.com or post them to Junior Black Cats, Stadium of Light, Sunderland, SR5 1SU.
